Usher apparently didn’t want to remove his shades while ordering food at Cleo restaurant in Hollywood’s Redbury Hotel this weekend. The singer came in with a group of about 10 on Sunday night. Sources said Usher kept his sunglasses on during dinner, deflecting direct contact with the staff. “Apparently the staff was not allowed to speak to him directly. All interaction had to happen through one of his staffers.

Bobby Brown wasn’t happy to hear that members of Whitney Houston’s family do not want him present at her funeral.  TMZ is reporting that Whitney’s family members reached out to the singer and said that the family would not be happy to see him there.   Although official invitations have not been released, it is being reported that Bobby is not welcome.

Sources are saying that Bobby wants to be there to support his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, but there is no word as to whether or not he is going to ignore the family’s wishes.  He is still hoping that the families can put their differences to the side for the mean time.

“Soul Train” creator Don Cornelius was found dead at his Sherman Oaks on home Wednesday morning.

Law enforcement sources said police arrived at Cornelius’ home around 4 a.m. He apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the case was ongoing.

The sources said there was no sign of foul play, but the Los Angeles Police Department was investigating. In a 2010 interview with The Times, he said he was excited about a movie project he was developing about “Soul Train.”

Pittsburgh rap star, Wiz Khalifa is being sued for $2.3 million by fellow Pennsylvania rapper named Maxamillion, according to TMZ. Maxamillion – real name Max Warren – alleges that Khalifa’s track Black And Yellow stole elements from his own song Pink N Yellow, which he copyrighted in 2008.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. won’t have to go to jail until June 1, 2012! A judge ruled Friday to delay his sentence so he can fight in Las Vegas on May 5th. We told you Floyd was supposed to turn himself in today to begin his 90-day sentence for beating up his baby mama but his attorney asked the judge to postpone the boxer’s turn-in date to June 1. This will give Floyd time to train for a big fight on May 5th against an undetermined opponent at the MGM Grand. His attorney said Floyd’s a pro who brings in hundreds of millions in profits for the city of Las Vegas and hey, thing’s get rescheduled all the time. Several of Floyd’s famous friends showed up in court to support the boxer — including Ray J and Lil Kim. He was set to begin serving 90 days in a county jail in Las Vegas today (Friday) for his guilty plea in a domestic violence case involving an attack on his ex-girlfriend while two of their children watched back in September 2010.

An American concert promoter named Patrick Allocco says that he and his son were kidnapped after Nas failed to show up at a New Year’s Eve performance in Angola.

According to TMZ, Allocco, who serves as CEO for AllGood Entertainment, and his son were kidnapped at gunpoint by employees of local “concert impresario” Henrique “Riquhino” Miguel, who had supplied money for the show. Allocco had paid Nas and opening act Jemiah Jai $315,000 to perform two shows but both artists failed to get on flights to Angola. Miguel took him into custody as he feared that Allocco would leave the country before the matter was resolved. He and his son were passed off to local authorities, who interrogated them for seven hours before letting them go. They are still in Angola trying to work out the money issue. “The hope is that Nas and Jemiah Jai will return all of the monies that were wired to them immediately so that our ransom may be paid and our safe return to the United States may be facilitated,” read a statement from Allocco’s people.

The boxer will serve jail time for beating up his ex-girlfriend. Along with serving jail time, Floyd will have to complete 100 hours of community service and play a $2,500 fine.

Floyd struck a plea deal with prosecutors in the case — in which he pled guilty to misdemeanor domestic violence … in exchange for getting a pass on the felony battery charge.

Floyd also pled no contest to two misdemeanor harassment charges — after allegedly threatening to beat his kids too during the incident.

Vybz Kartel Is on the run after escaping from a Jamaica Prison.

Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, allegedly started a riot at the Horizon Adult Remand Centre, where he was being held whilst under investigation over his possible involvement in up to seven murders. It is reported that Kartel and several other prisoners managed to take control of the prison shortly after 1am local time this morning (30/11/11), taking clothes and keys from guards before escaping in a prison maintenance pickup truck at approximately 1.45am. One police officer is thought to have died of a heart attack during the escape with at least twelve others injured, including two who were shot with guns apparently smuggled into the prison ahead of the raid. The Force Commissioner of Jamaica’s Criminal Investigations Branch has confirmed that Kartel and the other escapees are now on the island’s most wanted list.
