(SN) Heat Bag Records / Winnipeg’s Most where are you from what are y’all bringing to the Industry. Introduce yourselves to the world.

We From Winnipeg Manitoba, a city populated with drugs, crime, Gangs, hustlers, and nine to fiver’s. We grew up through it all. We started making moves with our music in 05 under our independent label Heatbag Records and continue to strive every day, we from the streets born and raised by the struggle. Lately we been settin the bar high in Winnipeg and are quickly moving thru Canada with our sound. Our new group Winnipeg’s Most (Brooklyn – Charlie fettah – Jon-C) Stricly Produced By Juno nominated producers STOMP 7 JAYMAK of Rezofficial music,our music has been getting recognition all over Canada right now.

(SN) When did Heat Bag Records / Winnipeg’s Most come together and at what point did you start taking the Entertainment Industry serious.

Heatbag Records Started in 05, Winnipeg’s Most started in 2010. And with heatbag records we just flooded our city with music n forced people to take notice, basically. And once we started to see the change and demand for more and more of our music, we started to take its serious. We started to make high quilty music, buy all types of equipment to record and produce our self’s, We been independent since day 1 But once the winnipeg’s most product got off the ground we really broke out hard and captured ears across Canada with the perfect combination of three Heatbag records emcee’s (Brooklyn – Charlie fettah – Jon-C) And 2 producers Stomp and jaymak From Team Rezofficial.

(SN) What about producers we heard some talk about you have some in house producers, who is team RezOfficial

Yes we do, Stomp And Jaymak two amazing producers from Hobbema, Alberta who were nominated for a juno award with their label Group team rezofficial. They Produced Our Whole Album self titled “Winnipeg’s Most”

and were already well into our new Winnipeg’s Most second cd “GOODFELLAZ” Set to come out June 2011. The beats coming from these two cats is so versatile that it brings the best out of us, we rocked many beats from many producers but with us 5 together on one project we creating magic that Even Chris Angel would wanna learn. lol

(SN) Are there any major hip hop artists to come outta Peg City that influenced you or had a impact on you to go even harder.

Winnipeg has mad talent and its finally coming out to play in da world of hip hop. when I was young the only Winnipeg cats I seen reppin Winnipeg on a grand scale was MOOD RUFF. But growing in the scene crews like deepcave records, peanuts n corn label artists were pushin they music hard, so we adapted our style and street perspective and introduced Heatbag Records to Winnipeg’s Hip hop growing underground scene. We were one of the first crews coming out really being about n doin street music.(Not the first but one of the firsts) But yeh in Winnipeg we got a healthy scene with all love across the board, no major beefs so theres a lot of collabs and cross promotion goin on during show’s and mixtapes.

(SN) There was some press about Winnipegs Most taking home some hardware (awards) at the APMCA Music Awards. Give us a little insight about that night and what it meant to you all.

It was hard working paying off with a quick smile and acknowledgment , we make music for the love of making music so to be rewarded for that is always a blessing. We took home 3 awards at the APCMA Music Awards and Performed on the main stage with live broadcasting. and the feedback was over whelming, there wasn’t a media outlet that didn’t wanna hear about us about who we were and what we’ve accomplished, it was a great experience for all three of us. It was a great achievement for Winnipeg, we felt blessed to walk that path of recognition by our industry your peers, family and friends.. there’s no greater feeling, Of having people proud of you…

(SN) Is Heat Bag Records / Winnipeg’s Most in hopes of signing with a major record label or are you planning on staying independent with the choice to make your own decisions and answer to no one?

Only time will tell, But well always be us, and are gonna always be tied to the core of Winnipeg. But like many and all artist a MAJOR deal is always a dream. But our way is always gonna be our way, its truly all that we know…

(SN) Being a record label and a hip hop group coming outta of the West Coast of Canada “Peg City” do you think the rest of the word looks at Canada and just thinks about Toronto, leaving Peg City in the shadows if so how do you get over that.

I think there’s no doubt that Toronto is the soul of Canadian hip hop but we switching channels on em. We coming to the for front of Canadian hip hop, Winnipeg’s scene is growing everyday and keeps getting louder and louder. If it’s not us it’s another crew making that next level move, we moving more mainstream with our music, we aren’t aboriginal artists, were aboriginals who rap, I think Canada’s hip hop scene needs artists “not labels”, The Canadian hip hop scene is breaking out in all provinces. Vancouver has had successful artists in the past and Present, Winnipeg’s just coming out swinging like Winnipeg’s known for, we a hard knock city for real…

(SN) What are the 3 must haves when in a Studio Session

(SN) Do you get a lot of support in your home city, shows, radio, explain Winnipeg’s Hip Hop Scene

Yeah we got mad support at home, we reppin for Winnipeg for real, our one and only hip hop radio station Streetz 104.7 fm is playinf all our peoples and bringing a new level of heights to our growing hip hop scene. Our hip hop scene in Winnipeg is huge we becoming the new scouting pool for hip hop talent, there’s so much hidden talent in peg city its insane… and we hitting all angles. we got a variety of hip hop in Winnipeg. We support our scene back 2 back as much as they supporting us, we true believers in community and our hip hop community is healthy right now.

(SN) What projects do you have in the works. Mixtapes, Albums, Shows, Tours etc

Well Winnipeg’s Most has Our Second Winnipeg’s Most Album Coming out “GOODFELLAZ’ Coming out IN JUNE 2011. But we got a mass amount of work in progress, HEATBAG’S GOT ONE SPEED AND ITS GO… LOL But no Heatbag Records has multiple projects goin on right now.

We got hella artists in Heatbag records, Jon-C, Charlie Fettah, Brooklyn, Bubblz, Ed e Buk, Zkilla, Blu, Drezus, Ruppness Monsta, Ashley Blakk, Kid P, Cypha Diaz, Kidd kane and a hand full of producers some slash emcee’s - Stattis, Blu, Kid P, Ruppness Monsta.. …..So we pushin,

We got Charlie Fettah & Ruppness Monsta coming with a new full LP “ADHD” We got Brooklyn Coming out with his second solo Cd “ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE” Complete LP with Mixtape. We Got Jon-C & Blu With a new LP called “THE LINK” We got Bubblz coming with his second solo LP plus mixtape, Big Drezus of Team Rezoffical is Dropping a EP and a LP. And then So we hittin em wit music right now.
