Tyler, The Creator of Odd Future has called Brisbane a city of racists after performing to a sold-out show in West End on Sunday night.

Tyler Okonma, of Los Angeles group Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (otherwise known as Odd Future), posted a series of comments on Twitter over the weekend and yesterday. Okonma, 20, who’s also known by his stage name Tyler, The Creator, has nearly a quarter of a million followers on Twitter. He told them people in Brisbane were “racist as f—-” and he was “uncomfortable” and wanted to go home. “I get this weird vibe,” he wrote. Later, he added “Im in Brisbane Right Now. They hate Niggas Out Here. ” but added that MLBRN (Melbourne) “was  cool”.

Okonma later told the crowd at his sold-out show at West End’s The Hi-Fi on Sunday night that he’d had a run-in with a ”racist asshole” at a KFC in Brisbane. He told the crowd he wouldn’t judge Brisbane on one person’s behaviour, however his earlier tweets remain in his stream. Regardless, Okonma seemed to enjoy the show: “F—-ing Brisbane Show Was F—-ing SICK!”, he tweeted later. “So F—-king Happy. Australia Was F—-king Fun Over All. Thanks To The White People Down Under (Except For Them Hating Racist From Earlier).”

Okonma, who is now happily back in the US (“Its Been A Week Since I Had My Phone, So Happy To Be Home”), later wrote that he was taking the popular Australian pastime of “planking” back with him.

After  months of speculation and hints from Lauryn, the former Fugees front woman confirmed she’s carrying her sixth child during her concert at Detroit’s Chene Park on Saturday night. Detroit radio personality Ashley Trybula told RadarOnline.com:

“She told the crowd, ‘I’m going to be taking time off to give birth.’”

Lauryn and her boyfriend and Bob Marley spawn, Rohan Marley, already have three boys and two girls together. Their oldest, Zion, will celebrate his fourteenth birthday in August.

A shooting spree left one person dead and seven more injured during Urban Beach Week in Miami Beach. Police officers open fired into a car, after the driver allegedly struck an officer with the vehicle and tried to run over several others, during a wild, three block chase down Collins Avenue as Urban Beach Week concluded. An investigation has begun into the police officers actions, because a gun was not found in the car, or on the victim. South Beach Police chief Carlos Noriega said during a press conference yesterday that there may have been other passengers who fired at police, then exited the car. Noriega also acknowledged that police may have been responsible for shooting and wounding the four innocent people on the street during the incident. The Black Panther leader Elmer “Geronimo” Pratt, who spent 27 years in prison for a murder of which he was later exonerated, died yesterday at his home in Tanzania at the age of 63. His fellow former Black Panther Pete O’Neal told the Associated Press he probably died of a heart attack, but that hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. He had lived in the city of Arusha for at least five years, reports the AP.

Pratt, who joined the Black Panthers in 1968 after he finished a tour with the Army in Vietnam and started at UCLA, was convicted of shooting Caroline Olson in a robbery that netted $18. He has said the FBI had him under surveillance in Oakland at the time of the murder in Santa Monica, but the prosecution didn’t share that information with his defense lawyers before his conviction in 1972.
