Toronto rapper wanted in 2007 shooting death of teen turns himself into police.

TORONTO - A Toronto rapper who denied shooting a 16-year-old boy in a YouTube video has turned himself into police.
Pierre Oliver Ellis turned himself in on Tuesday and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning on first-degree murder charges. The 24-year-old rapper known as “Capitol P” denied shooting 16-year-old Keyon Campbell in a rap song titled “Letter 2 Da Vern (RIP Ace),” which he uploaded to YouTube in 2009. Capitol P raps in the song that he treated Campbell “better than his brother” and says he would “never push his wig back.”
Campbell was shot to death on his front porch near Finch and Morningside Avenue in east-end Toronto on Dec. 2, 2007. Campbell’s mother found him suffering from severe trauma in the front hallway of his home after which he was taken to hospital and pronounced dead.’
Rest in Peace Keyon “Ace” Campbell

During TVOne’s “Unsung,” Big Daddy Kane recalls helping out a young Jay-Z during his 1990 “Chocolate City” tour. Big Daddy Kane may not be a household name to those who don’t bother familiarizing themselves with Hip Hop’s past, but a direct line can be drawn between Kane and emcees from a later era such as Jay-Z, 2Pac and Notorious B.I.G. The connection began in 1990, when Kane featured Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Digital Underground, 3rd Bass and Jay-Z on his “Chocolate City” nationwide tour. For some, the tour provided both valuable exposure and a chance to get some tutelage. J“I would
